Whether teaching 3-5 year olds about science, working with middle school youth in a STEM-rich makerspace, or talking about tough educational issues with master's students, I enjoy teaching as a way of learning about the world and working to empower those around me.
My research focuses expansive ideas about what science is / can be. I work on exploring the impact that informal educational spaces - such as museums and after school programs - can have on building the knowledge both youth and adults have about the world around them. I am explicit and committed to a focus on equity and anti-racism in my work.
